In October 2012, Super Storm Sandy struck Nassau County on the South Shore of Long Island, New York. The storm caused significant damage to area infrastructure including waste water treatment plants and numerous lift stations. In late 2015, Carbtrol Corporation was awarded contracts to provide replacement Odor Control Systems for nine (9) lift stations. The systems consist of centrifugal blowers with air flows ranging from 190 CFM TO 2100 CFM and Activated Carbon Canisters for H2S removal. The systems are scheduled to be operational in Spring, 2016.
