SPENT CARBON CUSTOM REACTIVATION SERVICE

CARBTROL Corporation is pleased to offer custom hazardous and non-hazardous spent carbon reactivation services. The carbon is reactivated by a fully licensed reactivation facility in minimum quantities of 1,800 lbs. per shipment.

CARBTROL will coordinate the carbon testing and approval process and shipment of carbon from your facility to the reactivation center and back. We will also inspect and repack refillable reactivated carbon into new single use canisters.

This program has been developed by our Engineering staff to help you comply with State and Federal regulations. CARBTROL will coordinate the approval process for your spent carbon. After the initial approval of the carbon from your site and treatment stream, your carbon may undergo further reactivations under the same approval.

Here is the procedure:

1. You describe your system and influent stream on a one-page Spent Carbon I.D. sheet (pdf format)(excel format)which we provide. Return it to us with analytical data and any MSDS sheets.
   
   
2. We review and clarify the information you supply us, clarify any questions with you and fill out the forms required by the reactivator and the State Regulatory Agency. We send them for your review and signature.
   
   
3. When you return the signed forms, we submit them to the reactivator for theirs and State approval.
   
   
4. We schedule the reactivation and send you the appropriate manifests, labels and, when applicable, a land ban form. We also arrange for the analytical testing of the spent carbon, usually necessary the first time the lot is received at the reactivator.
   
   
5. After reactivation has been completed, we send you a letter certifying that your specific Carbon Lot has been reactivated. This provides you with documentation showing the proper disposal of the spent carbon by means of the reactivation process.
